OUR STORY

Welcome to the Mount Kennedy Inn, located on the main street of Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow. This charming gastropub, under new management since 2021, prides itself on high-quality food and exceptional service.

The 2024 menu, crafted by our talented chef, features fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. Enjoy delicious seafood chowder, Wicklow lamb shank, and buttermilk chicken burger.

After savouring your meal, explore Wicklow’s attractions such as Glendalough, Powerscourt Gardens, and the Great Sugar Loaf.

Aiden, Our Head Chef.

Cathal Brugha trained, Aidan has extensive experience already from working in busy and fast-paced Gastro Pubs to Senior Chef de Partie in Harvey Nichols Brasserie. Aidan has gone on to train as a Sous chef and finally as head chef in a very popular Wicklow based hotel running numerous aspects of food and catering from buffet to restaurant and large weddings. Aidan is qualified and fully Trained in COSHH, in HACCP, Manual Handling & First Aid.
